ResMed Chin Strap
- Patients who open their mouths during CPAP or bilevel therapy and do not want to use a full-face mask can alternatively combine a nasal or nasal pillow mask with the ResMed chin strap to help reduce mouth opening.
- Comfortable: The side straps and the soft, wider chin piece of the chin strap rest comfortably against the skin and gently help keep the mouth closed during therapy.
- Versatile: The chin strap fits easily under or over most CPAP mask headgear and can be combined with a wide range of masks and nasal pillow masks.
- Simple: The chin strap is a single piece, is pulled over the head, and adjusted with hook-and-loop fasteners.
Putting on the chin strap
The chin strap must be put on before putting on the mask.
- Place the chin strap over your chin so that the edge marked “V” rests against your lower lip. Guide the straps past your cheeks and close the hook-and-loop fastener on top of your head.
- Adjust the straps so that they pull your chin upward sufficiently. Make sure the chin strap fits securely before placing the mask over it.
Please read the instructions for use carefully before using the ResMed chin strap and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Subject to change. Illustrations may differ from the original.
